Skills Training & Capacity Building

Capacity building is an important part of IICA’s technical work to promote progress, innovation and the improvement of production and post-production systems in Latin America and the Caribbean (LAC). Gender and youth forms a critical crosscutting axis. The aim is to support the situation and importance of rural women and youth through capacity building programs and proposals that improve their economic autonomy.  We work with organizations in the private and public sector to upskill young and experienced practitioners in agriculture.

Our N/CVQ Candidates

Our N/CVQ candidates get the best training from highly qualified and experienced technicians in agriculture. IICA’s N/CVQ candidates largely consists of youth in the main stream education system that have selected agri-science as one of their subjects of study, unemployed and educated youth who have not undergone any kind of skills training, and semiskilled and skilled workers in the agri-food sector that do not have any certification.  Contact us to find out how you or your organization can tap into our training and certification programmes.
